3 Steps to Summer Ready Skin

It’s hard to believe,  summer is in full swing. With these long, warm days comes ample opportunities for outdoor fun, like barbecuing, picnicking, and swimming. But the hotter temperatures and outdoor excursions mean that we’re showing a lot more skin during these months than others, so it’s a good idea to ensure your skin is protected and in tip-top shape for the season.

There’s no need to spend ample time, energy, or money to achieve summer-ready skin; all it takes is a little thought and a few products to ensure your skin is ready for all of the summer adventures that await.

Use a Proper Cleanser

In addition to barbecues and swimming sessions, hotter temperatures mean that we’re sweating a lot more than we do during the cooler months. This added moisture creates the perfect environment for infection-causing bacteria to thrive, especially in athletes. It is especially important that you use an effective daily cleanser and proper cleansing techniques during this season.

The cleanser you use should be non-drying, anti-inflammatory, and free of irritants, like fragrances. Preserved with sodium hypochlorite, CLn SportWash checks all of those boxes, removing dirt, grime, and oil without leaving a residue, all the while soothing skin irritation.

To maximize your cleaning efforts, do your best to cleanse within one hour of performing any sort of sweaty activity. If you wait any longer, infection-causing bacteria becomes increasingly difficult to slough off the skin. During cleansing, be sure to lather up for at least two minutes, paying close attention to often-overlooked areas, like the nails, and rinse completely.

Prevent and Manage Acne

Among the aforementioned infections that sweaty summer skin is susceptible to is acne. Heat and humidity increase oil production on our skin, which can clog pores and lead to more breakouts than in the cooler months. Fortunately, it’s easy to combat this issue as long as you have the right cleansing tools in your arsenal.

CLn Acne Cleanser is specially formulated to prevent and manage acne of all skin types. The patented formula is the only acne wash that contains 0.5% salicylic acid, which gently exfoliates your skin while unclogging your pores. The cleanser also reduces the appearance of redness and helps avoid irritation from shaving. Despite its superior strength, the cleanser is gentle enough to use every day on any part of the body that’s prone to acne, so it’s a must-have for your summer skincare regimen.

Moisturize and Protect

Once you have a proper cleanser and technique down, it’s time to moisturize and protect your skin. Hours spent in the sun and in the water can be immensely drying, which leads to tight, uncomfortable skin that can look dull and aged. Therefore, it’s critical that you apply an effective daily moisturizer to keep your skin nice and hydrated.

But not all moisturizers are created equal. You should ensure that any moisturizer you apply is lightweight, nourishing, and won’t clog pores. CLn Facial Moisturizer is highly effective yet lightweight enough that it’s suitable for even the most acne-prone skin. Plus, it boasts ingredients like niacinamide and ceramics complex, which soothe the skin while protecting and strengthening its natural barrier.

As long as you apply these simple tips and tools, you can rest assured that your skin will be clean, protected, and beautiful through all of your summer fun in the sun.
